Aramayo was born on November 6, 1992, to his father, Mike, and his mother, Lisa Dawson. His family also includes his older sister, Laura.

Mike is an experienced Managing Director and CEO with a track record of success in the furniture sector. According to his LinkedIn, furniture, negotiation, retail, strategic planning, and marketing strategy are all areas of expertise.

He graduated from The University of Hull and has been serving as the Managing Director of Buoyant Upholstery since 2008. From his family, only Aramayo and Laura are in the entertainment industry.

Laura began her acting career with the Hull Truck Youth Theatre and went on to study theatre at the Oxford School of Theatre in Oxford.

Aramayo’s acting career began when he was just seven years old. He played the role of Bugsy Malone in a primary school show at Cavendish Primary School.

When he was ten, he joined the Hull Truck Youth Theatre, where he performed in three productions each year. He attended Hull’s Wyke College before being accepted to the elite Juilliard School in New York City in 2011. 

His portrayal as Alex, the principal character, in a Juilliard production of Anthony Burgess’ A Clockwork Orange landed him his first film role in the Italian-American movie Lost in Florence.

His breakthrough role in his career was when he portrayed young Eddard Stark in the sixth and seventh seasons of HBO’s Game of Thrones from 2016 to 2017.

Likewise, in the Discovery Channel miniseries Harley and the Davidsons, which aired in September 2016, Aramayo played mechanical engineer and Harley-Davidson co-founder William S. Harley. He also starred in Tom Ford’s Nocturnal Animals that year. 

He played the role of Lewis Clark in the HBO miniseries Lewis and Clark. He also appeared in The Empty Man directed by David Prior, The Incident at Sparrow Creek Lumber directed by Henry Dunham, and Craig Roberts’ Eternal Beauty.

Aramayo was cast as the lead in the Netflix psychological thriller miniseries Behind Her Eyes in August 2019. The miniseries is based on Sarah Pinborough’s novel of the same name.

On January 7, 2020, it was reported that Aramayo had been cast in Amazon’s television series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power as ‘Beldor,’ subsequently revealed to be Elrond.

Eddard Stark, best known as Ned Stark, is a fictional character in George R. R. Martin’s 1996 fantasy novel A Game of Thrones and HBO’s adaptation of Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire trilogy, Game of Thrones. 

Stark is the ruler of Winterfell, an old citadel on the mythical continent of Westeros. Though the character is established as the central character in the novel and the first season of the TV adaptation, a plot surprise involving Ned at the conclusion of the novel and the first season startled both book readers and TV viewers.

Stark is introduced in A Game of Thrones as the righteous and honorable patriarch of House Stark and the father of six children. He is the story’s moral compass, satisfied to stay away from courtly intrigues and uncompromising in his concept of loyalty and honor. 

His surname, Stark, indicates his aversion to moral compromise, but his boundaries are increasingly pushed throughout the story.

Stark is portrayed by Sean Bean in the first season of Game of Thrones, by Sebastian Croft as a kid in the sixth season, and by Aramayo as a young adult in the sixth and seventh seasons. Aramayo was critically acclaimed for his role.

He talked about his experience in the HBO show with Variety and said, “It was Season 6, and there was so much zeitgeist around the show. So even that I was in it was a big secret. And then, obviously, what it revealed, I could never ever talk about.”

When Aramayo portrayed Stark, he was at the pivotal phase of the show —  revealing the birth of Jon Snow. He revealed that it was challenging to keep the secret since many people asked him about it.

He said, “If I remember rightly, I think I had a job in between the first appearance and the second one. I usually just disappear when I work anywhere, so I just managed to avoid it as much as I could.”
