MERIDIAN, Idaho (CBS2) — The Bar Rescue TV Show took over the greater Boise area last summer to revamp a few bar restaurants with a stop at Strikers Lounge at Meridian Bowling Lanes, according to a recent press release. Bar Rescue is a popular TV show that improves the subject bar and films the process.

Strikers was given a fresh rehab, retiring the bowling pin carpet and adding an inviting vibe with updated colors, cozy seating, 10 TVs and dart lanes set up for fun and competition. The name was also changed to Bullseye Sports Bar and Kitchen with an exterior reveal on the final night of filming.

“Strikers, now Bullseye, has been a staple next to Meridian Bowling Lanes, a great place to hang out, but I think Bar Rescue elevated it from a local hangout to a destination place,” said Arthur Cox, a frequent bowler and dart competitor at Strikers. “It had all the elements already, outstanding food, dart tournaments and a friendly staff, but Bar Rescue added things that took it to the next level.”

After 5 days of production and remodeling, host Jon Taffer revealed the new Bullseye Sports Bar and Kitchen. The owner of Bullseye and Meridian Lanes Andrew Propst said, “Changing up Strikers was a hard decision, for 65 years the bowling alley has been part of this community. The job that Bar Rescue did, keeping history and nostalgia with the retro vibe yet making it a standalone destination for locals looking for well-priced drinks and top-notch food, I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.
