Indonesia Third in SEA Games 2023 Medal Tally as of Monday Morning

TEMPO.CO, JakartaIndonesia bagged 12 more gold medals for the 2023 SEA Games on Sunday, May 14, 2023, giving the country third place in the medal standings.

Weightlifters, Juliana Klarisa and Rizki Juniansyah contributed two gold medals in the women's 55 kg number and in the men's 73 kg number, respectively.

Wrestlers bought four gold, namely Suparmanto in the men's 63 kg Greco Roman number, Muhammad Aliansyah in the men's 67 kg Greco Roman number, Andika Sulaeman in the men's 77 kg Greco Roman number, and Lulut Gilang Saputra in the men's 87 kg Greco Roman number.

The male tennis player Muhammad Rifqi Fitriadi presented his first gold at the SEA Games in the men's singles number. Judo player Dewa Kadek Rama Warma Putra did the same thing, clinching gold in the men's Under 66kg.

The Traditional Boat Race (TBR) sport also added a gold collection for Indonesia in the 250-meter 12 U24 men's crew.

Additional gold was also obtained from the women's basketball team who made history by sweeping all matches at the 2023 SEA Games.

Another gold came from Janis Rosalita Suprianto from the women's 200-meter surface fin swimming. The Indonesian esports team also did the best in PUBG Mobile.

The 12 gold medals brought Indonesia to third place with a total of 70 gold. This has far exceeded the contingent’s target of 60 gold and President Jokowi’s target of 69 gold.

Cambodia, which added six gold for the 2023 SEA Games on Sunday, slipped to fourth place with a gap of five gold from the Merah Putih contingent. Meanwhile, Vietnam remains at the top of the standings with 107 gold medals, followed by Thailand with 91 gold medals.
