June 2024 · 3 minute read

Vince McMahon returned to WWE’s Board of Directors earlier this month. The reinstated Executive Chairman only has two goals in mind, the sale of WWE and securing new television deals. Vince’s return caused his daughter Stephanie to resign from the company. Besides reinstating himself, Vince also brought his old allies back to The Board. With Stephanie now gone, Nick Khan is currently serving as the sole CEO of WWE, with Vince pulling all the strings.

On RAW Is XXX, DX shared the ring with Kurt Angle for a segment that fans will remember in the years to come. The Olympic Gold Medalist made his bid to join the faction while revealing the D-Generation X shirt he was wearing underneath.

The legends were soon interrupted by Imperium. This caused Triple H to come up with justifications as to why they couldn’t battle the team of GUNTHER, Giovanni Vinci, and Ludwig Kaiser. Seth Rollins and The Street Profits stepped up to the challenge.

At this moment, Triple H noted how he wished there was someone other than him to make something out of the situation. Seconds later, WWE Hall Of Famer Teddy Long showed up on the entranceway and announced a 6-Man Tag Team Match featuring The Street Profits & Seth Rollins vs. Imperium. Rollins later pinned Vinci to pick up the victory in the marquee bout that was officiated by Kurt Angle.

PW Insider noted that although Triple H was referencing to Teddy Long, fans in the audience were actually afraid of Vince McMahon showing up in the arena.

“During the DX segment on Raw 30, when Triple H made the remark about “If only” there was someone other than him to make decisions. Philly began to boo, perhaps thinking he was making a Vince McMahon tease. Of course, it was a set up for Teddy Long to appear.”

It was further reported that Vince McMahon wasn’t present at the venue. There was “no sign” of McMahon at the 30th anniversary of WWE Monday Night RAW.
