Drew McIntyre sent a heated warning to Cody Rhodes.
In a backstage interview on the February 12 episode of WWE RAW, Drew McIntyre discussed his looming match against Cody Rhodes. He said that Rhodes was selfish, and that despite his attack on “The American Nightmare”, he was actually the underdog between the two.
Now that he’s qualified for a spot in the Elimination Chamber, though, McIntyre said he has sights set fully on Rhodes, as they will clash next week. McIntyre went on to say that if Rhodes doesn’t find a way out of the match, he may end up missing his WrestleMania 40 match against Roman Reigns, much like CM Punk was taken out with an injury.
McIntyre clearly referred to Punk’s torn triceps injury, which reportedly occurred during a DDT by McIntyre during the Royal Rumble match.
